Approaching Heidelberg on Autobahn A5 from Frankfurt or Karlsruhe, change to Autobahn A656 towards Mannheim/Heidelberg at the junction “Heidelberger Kreuz”. Continue on Autobahn A 656 to Heidelberg. The A656 ends at the Heidelberg City limits.
As you enter the city of Heidelberg, follow the signs “Neuenheim/Universitätsklinikum“. Turn left at the first traffic light, then right at the second. Follow the curve at the next light. Go under the Neckar Bridge, then turn right twice heading for “Neuenheim / Universitätsklinikum”.
Having crossed the Neckar River, take any of the straight lanes and follow “Berliner Str.” until you reach the tramway stop “Technologiepark”. Then turn left at the stop light and go straight on “Im Neuenheimer Feld” for about 600m until you see building number 672 on your right. Take a right before that and park in any of the (charged) parking spaces there. Go along building 672 until you reach building number 669. In the entrance hall please phone 6869 from the dial pad so we can buzz you in.
By Public Transport
Heidelberg is connected directly (or via Mannheim, 20 minutes) to the ICE- and IC/EC-Network of German Railways (DB). Arrival is at Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (Central Station).
Take the north exit (“Kurfürstenanlage”) of the central station to get to the tram stop.
Take tram number 24 (direction “Burgstr.” or “Handschuhsheim”) or tram number 21 (direction “Hans-Thoma-Platz”) and get off at tram stop “Technologiepark”. Cross the two-lane street (“Berliner Str.”) and turn left into “Im Neuenheimer Feld”. Go straight until you spot building # 672 on your right – take a right and walk past the building until you see # 669. Walking time is about 10 minutes.
Or – after exiting the tram – hop on bus #31 (direction “Chirurgische Klinik”) or #37 (direction “Sportzentrum Nord”) to exit at stop “Kopfklinik”.
Cabs also wait in front of the central station.
Frankfurt Rhein-Main International Airport is located about 80 km from Heidelberg. On arrival at Frankfurt Airport, take the train (If buying a train ticket at the airport, you sometimes have to press a “DB” icon for Heidelberg to show up as a destination,; otherwise, it just shows local connections) to Heidelberg Central Station (with or without change in Mannheim).
Baden-Airpark Karlsruhe Baden-Baden (FKB) is located about 100km from Heidelberg. There is a shuttle bus between Baden-Baden Airport and Heidelberg Central Station. For more information: www.hahn-express.de
